What about a day with no work?
It still costs the crew day figure if they are on payroll. That is why utilisation matters as much as pricing.
How do I use this to check a bid?
Divide the bid by your crew day cost. If a three day job does not cover three crew days plus overhead and margin, it is not worth taking.
